Both whitetails and muledeer are present on the same ranches which gives you the opportunity to choose from 2 species! Licenses are generally 100% draw on the initial application period and there are leftovers for the August draw. This is an easy hunt, from 4 x 4 vehicles or from stands. Great lodging and meals, a sighting in range, and a meat cutting room are included in the prices shown below! 5 days, October 1-20 spot and stalk for muledeer. November 1-30, guided $4,200 for whitetail or mulie.
HUNTING IN KANSAS #119- 5 days. This is a full service hunt, including meals, lodging, and transportation to and from hunting area. You will be hunting the rolling hills of southeast Kansas, unit 12, from elevated blinds and tree stands. We will be focusing on existing deer patterns enhanced with feeders. 100% of the hunters in this area had opportunity to shoot a buck and 72% managed to harvest a buck. The deer taken ranged between 125-150's. There were also some serious whitetail hunters passing up deer in the 150-160 range to hunt much larger deer they were seeing. $3400 + license. KANSAS- REALLY BIG WHITETAILS #106- This outfitter was referred by another outfitter to us. What was impressive were his personal whitetail trophies, taken in his area, which is in Unit 6 of central Kansas. He revealed he had personally taken in his area a 194 B&C; a 172, a 168 and with a bow a 158!! He told us of several deer he knows of that should gross well over 170. He expects our hunters to take nothing under a 140 class, and thinks several boomers will fall. The price of this 5-day hunt is ONLY $2,695, including your tag! So you avoid the draw. You do need to buy the license which is about $85. You fly into Wichita and rent a car for the 60 mile drive to his ranch. This is the best price we know of for a Kansas deer hunt. Groups of 4 to 6 negotiable! SOUTHERN ALBERTA MULEDEER,WHITETAIL #127- This hunt is readily accessible by driving, as it is relatively close to the Calgary area. Most of the hunts are in limited access areas with allocated licenses. Motor vehicles are restricted, and you'll hunt primarily on foot. This minimizes local pressure and helps insure a quality hunt. This is a very scenic area of some 80,000 acres. Although you are quite high (9,000') the actual country is user-friendly-small ridges with open parks, pines and aspens. Because his area borders Rocky Mountain National Park, he has a large resident herd and takes some very good bulls. If you draw a deer tag, there are some good mulies here too.
