ALASKAN PENINSULA/ KODIAK BROWNIES- Outfitter has nearly 20 years experience and kills 10' bears every year!  In 2001 his two best were 10' x 28" and 10' x 28 1/2" !  He has a nice lodge on Kodiak and also hunts bears there as well.  Works very hard and does most guiding personally.  For Kodiak you must draw, but odds are very high on the peninsula.  His area is open on odd numbered Fall's and even numbered Spring's.  Kodiak $13900; April 20 - May 15 or October 25 - November 3. #51

ARIZONA BLACKBEAR-Check the record book and you will not believe how many trophy bears come from this state. Due to the western drought, these big bears are being forced to drop down into the prickly pear flats for food. Glass them up, then plan a stalk. Some huge bears to over 500 pounds with lots of color phase. A high success 1 on 1 hunt in August/September, $2,500.  One bear. License over the counter. #71
